Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES) had been an initiation by the leading surgeons in the year 1993 under the leadership of Prof Dr.T E. Udwadia who is widely regarded as Father of Laparoscopy in India. He performed first Lap Cholecystectomy in India.
IAGES has now happily completed more than 25 years in its academic and social commitments towards its members, surgical fraternity and the people on the whole.
We have now close to 8000 active life members. IAGES is blessed with members from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. IAGES has now become one of the most active Minimal access surgeons associations of India.

Rajahmundry officially known as Rajamahendravaram is a city on the eastern banks of the sacred Godavari River, in the southeast Indian State of Andhra Pradesh.
